LGG Creative Art ~ Pottery and Bone Carving
Beautiful. Functional. Unique.
What happens during Open Studio?
Open Studio is the day I set aside each week for current and new students to come to my place and make art at their own pace.
1. Current private lesson students have full access to my studio to make and trim pieces on the pottery wheel.
2. Private lesson students can glaze their pieces in preparation for the final firing.
3. Newcomers to the studio may select bisqueware to paint with underglazes in whatever style they choose. I have many different pieces to choose from and will explain the process and different techniques so that you can bring your ideas to life,
4. Handbuilders may play with clay to create small sculptures.
5. Shopping! My home is my gallery, so if you see a piece that you like, buy it right off the mantle or wall. Want a Roycroft signed vase, a unique wall piece, a set of custom carved mugs, statement jewelry, 1:12 scale miniatures, heart pots galore? I make every piece by hand--15 different styles of work--priced to fit just about anyone's budget.
6. Open Studio is also great time to discuss custom work, buy a gift certificate for private lessons or pottery, schedule a pottery party for up to 12 people, or, if you are a local gift shop owner, select the pieces you'd like for your next wholesale order.
Open Studio is every Monday
from 12-8 pm
beginning January 6th
